Men and Women Finish 4th in A-J Special

Wilmore, KY – The Asbury men’s and women’s cross country teams each placed fourth out of seven teams in the annual RJ Corman A-J Special Meet on Asbury’s campus.  The annual meet is co-hosted by Asbury and the Jessamine County High Schools and Middle Schools.

On the women’s side the freshmen stole the show as Dria Stallings was the highest Eagles, finishing 10th with a time of 23:55.53.  Classmates Katie Claussen and Chelsea Parsons were third and fourth on the squad, placing 21st and 25th respectively.  Sophomore Beth Crist ran the second fastest time for the Eagles placing 14th overall.

Jarred Brewester led the Asbury men with a 13th place finish and a time of 18:16.15.  Freshmen Eric Sanders and Ben Adams turned in the next fastest times for the Eagles, placing 19th and 33rd overall.  Junior Tyler Zweifel placed 34th for the Eagles. 

Asbury will next run at the Centre College Invitational on Saturday September 11th.
