NCCAA Names Four Eagles as Scholar Athletes

Four Asbury College Cross Country runners were named Scholar-Athletes by the NCCAA last week.  Seniors Carolyn Tegge, Jen Thomas, and Courtney Ray, along with junior Morgan Schutters received the honor for their academic work.

Tegge also ran in the NAIA Nationals this year, becoming the first Asbury women's runner to do so.  She finished 194th out of 327 runners, and ran a career best 19:41.2 in the 5k.  Tegge was also a member of the KIAC All-Conference Team after placing 2nd in the conference meet this year.
