Kyle BairBRISTOL, Va. – Asbury’s men only led once in an 84-73 loss to Virginia Intermont on Friday night as the Cobras got revenge after the Eagles won in Wilmore back in November.  Asbury’s only lead came at 12-10 with 13:54 left in the first half.  VIC led by seven at the half.

Adam Delph led the Eagles (9-5) with 14 points as Asbury shot only 37 percent from the floor in the game.  Despite the low percentage from the field the Eagles made 13-of-28 from beyond the three-point line.  Dakotah Euton made three three-pointers.  Five others each made two from downtown.  Euton finished with nine points and Austin Flannery added 10.

Delph added a team-high 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.  Both teams pulled down 42 rebounds in the game.  The Cobras shot 44 percent from the floor and were led by Justin Morris’ 24 points.  Three others scored in double-digits.

Asbury will battle Milligan on Saturday in a rematch from an early season win for the Eagles.  Asbury won the Nov. 17 matchup 90-81.  Saturday’s game will tip at 4 pm.  Live stats will be available through asburyeagles.com.
