Delph Repeats As KIAC Player of the Week
BEREA, Ky. – Asbury University senior Adam Delph was named the KIAC men’s basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 3rd. This is his second straight player of the week award of the season.
Delph averaged 23 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists last week. He connected on 51 percent (25-of-49) field goal attempts. The senior guard recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-58 win against Hiwassee College. He scored 24 points in a 97-84 loss to Southern Virginia University. Delph finished the week with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in a 74-66 win against Wilberforce University. He also scored his 1,000th career point against Wilberforce. He is currently 2nd in NAIA Division II total scoring (251) and 12th in points per game (20.91).
Asbury University is currently 8-4 overall. They will return to action on December 4th when they host University of Cincinnati-Clermont.
