Delph named KIAC Player of the Week

Delph leads the Eagles with 21 points per game.BEREA, Ky. – Adam Delph was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for the week of November 29th-December 5th.  Delph (Louisville, Ky.) scored 71 points during three games on the week, helping the Eagles to a 2-1 record.

Delph scored a career high 36 points in an 81-76 victory over Union (Ky.) College on Friday night.  In the game Delph also led the team with seven rebounds and dished out three assists.  This is Delph's first time being named KIAC Player of the Week.

The very next night Delph just missed out on a double-double with 10 points and a career-high nine assists in a 121-53 victory over Ohio State-Mansfield in only 18 minutes of action.  On the week Delph was 26-43 (60.5%) from the floor and even better 10-15 (66.7%) from three-point range.  He connected on five threes in the game against Union.  Delph also led the team with 25 points and nine rebounds in an 81-67 loss to Campbellsville on Monday night.

For the season Delph leads the Eagles and ranks 17th in the NAIA DII with a 21.0 point per game average and ranks 8th in three-point percentage (51.7%).

Asbury will host Temple Baptist College on Tuesday night at 6:00 pm.
