Fowler Signs with Asbury

Fowler, with Coach Will Shouse, should compete immediately for playing time in the backcourt.Wilmore, Ky. – Asbury men’s basketball coach Will Shouse has announced the signing of Jaquail Fowler from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville, Ky.  Fowler led the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game last season, he grabbed 4.7 rebounds per game.

Fowler a 6-2 guard spent only two years on the varsity squad under coach Dale Mabrey but was an All-District, All-Region, and All-Tournament team at the Las Vegas Holliday Tournament his senior season.  A extremely hard-working individual, Fowler was a member of the school’s honor roll and Beta Club. 

“Jaquail is the type of kid that you want in your program not only because of his basketball talent, but also because of how great a person he is,” Coach Will Shouse said.  “He works hard at everything he does, whether he’s getting extra work in at the gym or studying for classes.  He will push our guys right away, and we expect that he can contribute immediately.”

Fowler will be the fourth alum of PRP to play for the Eagles in 2010-11, joining senior to be Phillip Morrison, and sophomores Nate Johnson and Adam Delph.  Fowler is the second commitment for Coach Shouse, joining Scott County’s Austin Flannery.
