Eagles Cruise By Temple Baptist

Wilmore, Ky. - Asbury jumped out to a commanding 50-34 lead at halftime and cruised to a 90-79 victory over Temple Baptist Bible College. The Eagles shot 47% from the floor and caused the Rams to turn the ball over 22 times.
Phillip Morrison (Louisville, Ky.) continued his hot start to the season with 34 points, his second game with more than 30 points and sixth of more than 20. Morrison hit 14-of-23 shots including two-of-six from three, he was a perfect four-of-four from the line. He also had a team high four steals.
Three other Eagles were in double figures as Brian Johnson (Wilmore, Ky.) scored 15, Justin Jones (Hazard, Ky.) had 11, and Brock Hurtle (North Vernon, Ind.) came off the bench to score 11. Johnson had a game high 12 rebounds and six assists. Hurtle hit his first three three's of the game. Jones added eight rebounds and one block.
The Eagles will return to action on Monday November 23rd to host The Crown College at 6:00 pm before taking off for Thanksgiving. The women will follow the men on Monday at 8:00 pm.
