Bench Leads as Asbury Cruises

Wilmore, Ky. - Asbury jumped out to a 49-18 halftime lead and cruised to an 88-40 win over Crown College on Monday night. 11 different players scored and three players were in double figures, led by Cory Britt (Cynthiana, Ky.) and Phillip Morrison (Louisville, Ky.) with 16.
Asbury (7-2) shot 59% in the first half and 55% for the game on their way to their biggest win of the season. The Eagles' bench scored 45 points led by Don Witt's (Hamilton, Ohio) 10. The Eagles hit 11 three's in the game and Morrison and Brock Hurtle led the team with three each.
Britt and Adam Delph led the defensive charge with four steals each as the Eagles had 18 steals in the game and forced 27 Crown turnovers. Delph also led the team with four of the team's 22 assists. Justin Jones led the Eagles with seven rebounds and Dre Thomas came off the bench with six.
Asbury will have nearly two weeks off before taking part in the Berea Classic on December 4th and 5th. The Eagles will open with Temple Baptist on Friday at 6:00 pm and will battle Warren Wilson College Saturday at 2:00 pm.
