Cheer on your Eagles at the 13th Annual Zweifel Classic
WILMORE, KY—The Asbury College men’s basketball team opens their season this weekend at the 13th Annual Zweifel Classic. The Eagles take on Southern State at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 and Spring Arbor on Saturday at 4 p.m.

To celebrate the beginning of the season, the first 100 Asbury fans in attendance for Saturday afternoon will receive a free Eagle stress ball compliments of the Asbury College alumni office.
This is Coach Will Shouse's first season as head coach of his alma mater. After graduating in 2002, Shouse served as assistant coach of the men’s team until 2006. He returned to Asbury College from Kentucky Christian University where he coached for two seasons. While at KCU, he received the Mid-East Region Men’s Basketball “Coach of the Year” Award in 2007 and 2008, and was a national finalist for the 2007 NCCAA Division II Men’s Basketball “Coach of the Year.”
Fans should expect a high scoring game. Shouse is known for his fast-paced coaching style. At KCU, his teams averaged more than 90 points per game.
