Men's basketball defeats IU-East, 125-85

- Asbury registered 32 assists, spreading the wealth around against IU-East in a 125-85 win that set a school-record for points scored by the Eagles. In the process, Asbury also held the nation's leading scorer in IU-East's Joe Ramey to just 15 points, down from his 30.5 points per game average.

Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Ben Spann with 29 points and 13 rebounds to post his third double-double of the season. Spann also led the team in assists with six, tied with Brian Johnson and Jon Ensign, also with six assists. Asbury used a 16-4 run over the last five minutes of the first half to turn a 10-point lead into a comfortable 62-40 halftime lead.

The win moves Asbury to 13-9 overall, 2-2 in conference play. The Eagles defeated Ohio Christian in Circleville, Ohio on Monday 78-64. The Eagles will return home this weekend to face conference leader, IU-Southeast at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9. The game can be heard on WACW , Asbury athletics' home on the internet.

Earlier this month, Michael Spann earned his 1000th point.
