Eagles fall to Hawaii-Hilo, 103-70
Hilo, Hawaii - Down a man in senior Brett Johnson, the Eagles were outmatched against a Hilo squad on Saturday night. The Vulcans used a hot shooting first half, going 21-of-30 from the field for 70 percent including 8 of 10 from three-point range to go into the locker room with a 60-36 advantage and never looked back.
The Eagles were led in scoring by junior Derek Craft who scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field, 5-of-11 from behind the arc. He was joined in double-figures by Michael Spann with 14 points and Dusty Reidesel with 12 points.
The Eagles stand at 9-5 on the season as they head home from Hawaii to begin the 2008 portion of their schedule. Asbury will next be in action on January 15th against Boyce College in Louisville at 7:00 p.m. Their next home game is Saturday, January 19th against Ohio Christian at 4:00 p.m.
