WILMORE, Ky. - Brett Johnson poured in 42 points, including 30 in the second half as the Eagles pulled away from Cincinnati Christian, winning 84-71. The effort by Johnson marks the first 40-point game for Asbury since Jason Price's 43 points against Tennessee Temple in the 2000 NCCAA Tournament on March 17, 2000. Johnson also added 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double on the season.

Johnson's 18-of-22 effort from the field offset a poor outside-shooting night for the Eagles who were 3-of-19 from three point range. Michael Spann hit all threes from the floor for the Eagles, finishing with 18 points, second most on the team.

With the win Asbury improves to 6-2 on the season. The next game for the Eagles comes Tuesday night at Campbellsville University at 7:00 p.m. They will next be at home against Spalding University on Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. The Spalding game can be heard on WACW , Asbury's student college radio and home of Asbury Athletics.
