Asbury cruises against Crown College in AC/BC Classic

WILMORE, Ky. - Asbury outclassed the Royal Crusaders of Crown College, 86-41 in a game that saw the Eagles get at least eight minutes of playing time for all 17 players.

Asbury would only carry a 13-8 lead at the first timeout just five minutes into the game but the Eagles' responded with a 37-10 run to close the half at 50-18. Head Coach Jim Aller would empty the bench in the second-half with the Eagles winning going away. Michael Spann and Dusty Riedesel would be the only two Eagles in double-figures with 13 and 10 points respectively.

The win puts Asbury at 5-2 on the season headed into the second day of the AC/BC Classic tomorrow against Cincinnati Christian University. CCU fell to Berea College, 87-80 in the game before Asbury and Crown. Tip-off for tomorrow's games are 1:00 for Berea and Crown College with Asbury and CCU taking the floor at 3:00 p.m.
