Strong second half completes comeback for men at IUS
Asbury used a 45-19 run over the last 13 minutes of the game to turn a 66-53 IUS lead into the Eagles largest lead at 98-85, ending with a 100-92 win. During the stretch Michael Spann scored 17 points, including nine points from behind the arc, finishing with 26 points for the game. Brett Johnson poured in 24, going a perfect 11-of-11 from the field, and 2-of-2 from the line. The Eagles continued their trend of moving the ball well, registering 31 assists for their 36 made baskets of the game. Derek Bland scored 21 points and Brandon Fentress added 12 points, all during the decisive run.
The win puts Asbury at 18-7 on the season, 5-1 in the KIAC. They return home to face Boyce College, tonight at 7:00 p.m.
