Brett Johnson's double-double leads Asbury over Alice Lloyd, 81-64
Asbury received big contributions from several players in its 81-64 win over the Alice Lloyd Eagles, but junior forward Brett Johnson stole the show. Johnson's dominant low-post play almost gave him a triple-double as he registered 21 points, 17 boards, and six blocks. Brandon Fentress and Derek Bland each chipped in 14 points and Michael Spann had 13 points to help seal the deal.
The win was Asbury's 11th in a row and improves their record to 20-7 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The Eagles next home game is this Thursday as they face Spalding University. With a win Asbury will clinch the regular season KIAC title. Tip-off for the game is set for 8:00 as part of a women's and men's doubleheader.
