Eagles Lose Game 1, End Bears' Streak in Game 2
PIKEVILLE, Ky. - Pikeville had won six straight games, including the first of two games Thursday, but the Eagles turned on the offense and batted in six runs to down the Bears in game 2, 6-2.
The Eagles captured their first win of the season and now stand at 1-2.
In game 1 the Eagles had no offensive answer to the hosts, struggling to string anything together to bring the runs around the bases. It was quite the contrary in game 2 as the Eagles bats woke up to score four second inning runs. The runs would be enough for the Eagles who would give up just two over the course of the contest.
The Eagles return to the field tomorrow to take on the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky.
