Baseball Players Take Time to Race for a Cure
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Nine of Asbury's varsity baseball players took time out of their busy preseason schedules to take part in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure in Lexington on Saturday.
The race, one of many of it's kind around the nation, kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness month in Lexington.
Asbury Baseball has been a 3-year participant in the Race for the Cure here in Lexington. This year the team donated more than $300.00 to the battle against breast cancer. This year's pink jerseys, donned by the players in the photo, were donated by J & J Sports in Florence, KY.
