Eagles Drop Regular Season Finale

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Asbury closed out their regular season schedule with a 9-3 loss to Campbellsville on Monday night.  The Eagles now head to the KIAC Tournament which is set to begin on Thursday.

Asbury (11-36) held an early 3-2 lead after Brandon Smith drove in Tyler Messner with a double in the second and Tyler Wooden drove in two with a single in the third.  Wooden collected three hits in the game.  The Eagles had eight hits in the game, but seven came in the second and third innings.

Asbury will play their first KIAC Tournament game on Thursday at 11 a.m. against Brescia.  The Eagles defeated Brescia in four of the five meetings this year.
