Eagles Advance in KIAC Tournament

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Asbury baseball advanced in the KIAC Tournament with a 12-1 win over Brescia on Thursday afternoon.  The Eagles have defeated the Bearcats in five of six meetings this year.

Asbury will play the winner of Indiana Southeast and Berea which will be played at 3 pm on Thursday.  Asbury split four meetings with the Grenadiers and took three out of five against the Mountaineers.

Isaiah Bell allowed only three hits in eight innings of work on Thursday in improving to 3-5 on the season.

The tournament winner will advance, along with regular season winner IUS, to the Unaffiliated Tournament in Kinston, N.C. next week against members of the America Mideast Conference and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
