Tigers Sweep Eagles in Home Opener

WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury was overmatched in both games of a doubleheader against Campbellsville on Tuesday afternoon, losing 15-2 and 17-4 in their home opener.  The Eagles collected only 11 hits on the day while the Tigers racked up 29.

Asbury (0-10) has their worst start since the program was resurrected for the 2008 season.  Their 12 game losing streak dating back to last year is also the longest since 2008.

Danny Olszowy hit his first home run of the season in game one, a two-run shot that cut the Tigers (5-0) lead to 3-2.  Campbellsville answered with 12 unanswered runs, scoring in five of the seven innings.  Olszowy finished with two hits in the game and added another in game two as well as a third RBI on the day.

The Eagles took a 3-1 after two innings in game two but a seven-run Campbellsviile third put the Tigers ahead for good.  Casey Messner, Josh Cummins and Simeon Bell each collected two hits on the day.
