Zach Monroe named KIAC Player of the Week March 3-9

Louisville, KY - Zach Monroe was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Baseball Player of the Week for March 3rd-March 9th. The sophomore catcher from Lexington went three for five in a 9-6 win over Georgetown (Ky.) College last Thursday night, highlighted by his second homerun of the season and three RBI's in the game.

On the season, Monroe has a .391 batting average, going 9-for-23 on the season. Monroe leads the team in hits, homeruns, RBI's, and walks. The Eagles stand at 2-5 on the season headed into a Wednesday return trip to Georgetown at 6:00 p.m.
