The Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education prepares students to become teachers in elementary education programs, work in related fields, and prepare for graduate school. ENG 240 Grammar and Composition - Interdisciplinary approach and review of basic grammar; strong focus on writing process and grammar integration

MAT 162 Elementary School Mathematics I - Emphasis on number system skills and concepts of whole numbers through rational numbers

ED 230 Human Growth and Development - Study of physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and moral aspects of human life span development from birth to young adult

MAT 261 Elementary School Mathematics I - Emphasis on the notions and concepts related to two-and three-dimensional geometry

ED 320 Exceptional Learner in the General Education Classroom - Introduction to field of special education and learning needs of exceptional children

ED 400 Practicum: Level II Field Experience - Field experience provides opportunity to connect theory and practice through extended placement, opportunity to teach, and in-depth interaction with classroom teachers and students
