Cancellation of Class Policy
In the event classes are canceled due to a natural weather condition or a physical problem at the college, one of the following options may be exercised by the ACHIEVE Director/Assistant Director following discussion and consultation with the Provost or the Associate Academic Dean.

A separate make-up class may be scheduled during the week or weekend only if ALL of the cohort and instructor can arrive at a mutually agreeable time.

An extended class time can be scheduled by starting subsequent class(es) before 6pm or ending after 10pm only if ALL of the cohort and instructor can do so.

In option 1 or 2 is not feasible, the class time is forfeited. All assignments due for a cancelled class will be due the following class period.

A class in process may be cancelled at the instructor's discretion for reasons stated above. The instructor must notify the ACHIEVE Director/Assistant Director via email of a class in process cancellation, stating the date and time of dismissal and reason.
Class cancellation information will be provided to the Asbury College operator (859.858.3511) by 4:00pm in the afternoon. Questions about class cancellation should be directed to the operator. This will provide the most efficient way of communicating the information.
