When I was a student, I had the opportunity of working on a project at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis. The work I did in the virology department with Varicella-Zoster was used to help immunosuppressed children to have reduced effects from chicken pox (which formerly was often fatal). It taught me that nothing in life is ever wasted when dedicated to the Lord’s use and His glory.
I enjoy working with seniors who do microbiological research concerning herbal remedies, resistant staph, etc.
Music is another gift that I enjoy: playing flute in our church’s music team ministry, playing handbells and classical guitar. I also like to sing in the church choir.
My husband and I are involved in the Gideons International; I especially enjoy the Bible distributions. Also, we are blessed with two children and their families, which includes six grandchildren.
Growing flowers to share with family/friends is a special pleasure. Nature in general helps me appreciate its Creator more.
