Homeschool Music Classes

The Asbury University Music Department offers music classes in both vocal and instrumental music for elementary students.  Home-schooled students come to Asbury to be taught by university students in teacher training.

Classroom 1Elementary Vocal Music Education Classes are offered on Thursday afternoons from 12:50-1:50 p.m.  For the Fall of 2012, these classes will be based on Kodály methodologies (using the scale syllable system of sol-fa, rhythm syllables and hand signs, while incorporating musical games and movement activities).  Classes will be designed for Grades 3-4, though 5th graders are welcome, as are 2nd grade students who are more musically advanced.  Registration & information forms are available below.  Just click on the appropriate link, and return the registration form at your earliest convenience.
