WILMORE, KY—The Master of Social Work program at Asbury College is accepting applications for the spring 2010 semester. Classes begin Jan. 19 on the Wilmore campus. Applicants should send materials by Jan. 15 for full consideration.

A bachelor’s degree in social work is not required to attend Asbury College’s M.S.W. program; however, candidates with an earned B.S.W. are eligible for the advanced standing program.

Social work is one of the nation’s fastest growing fields with jobs in education, health care, criminal justice, social justice and gerontology. Asbury College’s M.S.W. program is competitive with state university’s in-state tuition. The Asbury College M.S.W. program also partners with Asbury Theological Seminary to offer a dual M.A. or M.Div.

Asbury College M.S.W. faculty come from diverse fields with experience in policy, individual and family therapy, addiction counseling, program evaluation, research, education and healthcare. A current Asbury College M.S.W. student, said, “I have never before had the caliber of professors that I have here.”
