Production

An emphasis in production can be as broad or as specific as a student would like it to be. Students can focus on editing, audio, writing, or camera operation (to name a few) or they can experience every part of the production process. The great thing about the production emphasis is that students have an opportunity to try every part of the process within the classroom setting. Below are a few classes that really give students that hands-on experience.

• Remote Production - A class that gives students hands-on experience producing, directing, and shooting events outside of the studio. Events include many sporting events and concert.
• Sitcom Production - Learn how the networks produce a sitcom under the direction of Asbury Professor Doug Smart, a 22-year veteran director of sitcoms for CBS and ABC. The sitcom is shot in front of a live audience, giving the students the full experience of an actual set.
