WILMORE, Ky. — In the midst of warm spring weather and final exams, the Asbury University Art Gallery — in the Z.T. Johnson Building — was an oasis of peace Wednesday evening as the students of this semester’s Photo II class opened an exhibition of their favorite prints.

The exhibit, called “2012: The Final Wash,” includes a mix of silver gelatin and digital prints on subjects ranging from roommates and college memories to more abstract representations.

“We shot on film and digitally to learn the techniques for both methods,” said sophomore Kate Wenger, who displayed two photographs in the exhibit. “It was interesting — I’d compare it to listening to music on CD and record. You can get great sound with a CD, but there’s something about a record that’s unique, and it’s a lot like that with film.”

The exhibit will remain on display through graduation on Saturday, May 5.
