The HORSE: A Juried Exhibit

September 20 – November 06, 2010
All of God’s creations were specially designed and worthy of appreciation. However, the horse has continued to earn humanity’s respect and attention as a noble creature of speed, form, and beauty. With the 2010 World Equestrian Games, Asbury University is creating an opportunity for visual artists to celebrate the horse and the culture that surrounds it. Interpretations may vary from cultural symbolism to physical attributes; from its storied history to its contribution to agricultural pursuits and uses in competition and transportation. This exhibit will contain artwork that features all characteristics of the horse: the land, the games and the people who have known and loved horses. The Asbury University Art Department invites you to be a part of this exhibit through your own artistic contributions.
